A couple days ago, I could have been eating a deluxe dinner of steak, soup and chocolatte mousse right now. Well, I'm eating some Chinese food since it's my culture. The food isn't bad ( I mean the Chinese food ) but I'd rather have the chocolatte mousse for dessert instead of some healthy clementines.
The last day of July 2010, my family, my mom, dad, and brother drove to New York where the cruise ship was leaving. We parked our car at my mom's cousin's house and they, ( my mom's cousin and her husband ) drove us to the dock.
At the dock, my family first saw our cruise ship called "Carnival Glory." It was the ship we'd be living in for the next 5 days. A man took our luggage and we lined up for the security checking. When the security checking was done, everything speeded by quickly.
On the ship, I raced over to the "Red Sail Restaurant". It's like a buffet. There were great foods like potato salad and onion rings. I especially loved the upstair seafood place. They offered you fish 'n chips, fried oysters, seafood mix etc. After that, there was a reealllyyy long safety drill. I'm glad at least it wasn't burning hot and super boring like the safety drill on the cruise I had a year ago.
Anyways, the safety drill took a pretty long time and before I knew it, the ship was moving. My brother and I wanted to see our cabin. The cabin was a regular sized cabin with a T.V. and some closets. Also, it had 1 large size bed and 2 small bunks on the to p. The bathroom was pretty small.
6 'o clock came and that's when the dinner started. I got soup and some beef and carrots with lime sherbert for dessert. My brother and I went to the kids club until 9 and that's when my parents picked us up. We went to see a welcome show. It was funny.
The next morning, my family and I went up to the Lido deck, ( deck 9. ) We ate breakfast there. After a while walking around the ship, I got bored. I went swimming, well actually sitting in the jacuzzi tub. It was probably lunch time when I got out and went to lunch.

That was basically the schedule for me for the days at sea.
I went to St. John, New Brunswick on the 3rd day, 8/3/2010. It was nice. My family found a bus tour and rode on it. We visited the marketplace and tasted kelp/dried seaweed/Dulce. Didn't taste too bad. Just weird. We also went to the reversing falls. I prefer the marketplace better. The reversing falls were kind of boring. I learned many things about St. John.
The next day, the ship docked at Halifax, Nova Scotia. We went on a double decker bus to many places. My favorite place where we went that day was the Del Sol store. Del Sol has things like rings and shirts and hair clips that change color in the sunlight. I got nail polish.
The next day was a day at sea again. Same routine.
On Thursday, 8/5/2010, the ship docked back at New York. The 3 things I really remember was 1. The great food. 2. The night when I got to stay up to 3 am because the kids club had a party. 3. When there was a construction challenge and the goal was to make a sturdy building with tape and paper. The girls team won 1st place but I mostly made the whole thing so I got to keep it. I was not too happy when I couldn't take most of the building home because there was no more room in our luggage.
With or without souvenirs, the cruise was a exciting trip for everyone I knew who went on the ship. I can't wait for our next cruise!
